TRAVEL AND HOW TO GET THERE:
The most convenient airport for Calpe is without doubt Alicante. Many budget airlines operate to Alicante from a variety of British and European airports. All offer cheap, no frills (or thrills) flights and the flight time is a little over 2 hours from most UK airports. Alicante to Calpe is just under an hour by car, Valencia airport takes 90 minutes and Murcia, 2.5 hours.
We recommend booking as early as possible to get the cheapest flights. We also recommend taking/hiring a car, especially as you will have your own free, dedicated parking space by the villa.
There is a Bus service from Alicante airport to Calpe, which goes via Benidorm. A better way of travelling from the airport is to use a transfer service and the best one seems to be https://www.beniconnect.com/ They will pick you up and drop you off from the terminal to Calpe, which is then a short cab ride away. This service needs to be pre-booked, and is very reliable.
